Early stage breast cancer survivor, diagnosed at age 42
“As a cancer survivor I have experienced loads of nasty side effects. I'm currently on a CDK 4/6 inhibitor and I immediately interpreted the name "Make Cancer Less Shitty" literally since this is THE major side effect for me. I want to help remove some of the stigma attached to these side effects and I think the best way is to start talking about it out in the open.”

Living with metastatic breast cancer, diagnosed at age 47
“I was diagnosed de novo with Stage 4 breast cancer that had already metastasized to innumerable sites within my skeleton and distant lymph nodes. My daughters were 8 and 15 at the time, so naturally I’m enduring treatment and all its shitty side effects to be around for them as long as possible while striving to achieve some semblance of a decent quality of life. Unfortunately, I’m not one of the “lucky” unicorns to exhibit a complete or even an exceptional response to my 1st or 2nd line of treatment. I’m on my 4th, which may not even be working, and have dealt with symptoms and surgeries and scans and side effects for the last 6 years that have been mostly “manageable” but still shitty nonetheless!!”
